No Agenda

Apr 28, 2021

Hey Family! Joshua here. I hope your week is going powerfully.

I wanted to share something with you that the Lord was speaking to me about this morning. I believe it's a word for you and it will bless you.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NKJV
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

Honestly, there are times I've spent with the Lord and things seem to go beyond perfect. Then, there have been times when there seems to be something off and I'm wondering, "Lord, is everything good? What's going on?"

That happened to me this morning. I knew something was brewing in my Spirit but I couldn't put my finger on it. So, I spoke in tongues, asked, declared some things and usually it worked but today, it didn't.

I just sat there quietly and waited. Then, the Lord spoke to me. He said, "No agenda."

As soon as that came to my Spirit, I knew immediately what God was saying to me.

As you read above, Love does not seek its own. In love, there's no selfish agenda.

It may come off "spiritual" but there's still an agenda. This morning, I was excited to spend time with the Lord but I selfishly wanted "deeper revelation." I wanted some type of deeper encounter with Him and man, I just ran into a wall.

It's okay to desire spiritual things! Heck! The bible tell us to. But what the Lord wanted me to share with you is;

When's the last time you came to Him or spent intentional time with Him with no agenda?

This is not to discourage you from asking God for things but after you lay out your petitions, do you have time to spend with Him with "no agenda"?

It's as simple as that. I have 3 children and there are just times I want to simply sit with them and embrace them. If they keep asking for things, it's expected, but after a while, can we just kick it?! Ha!

After the Lord spoke that to me, the rest of my day has been cruising! I've been enjoying just being.

I hope this word blessed you, encouraged you, and inspired to step into a deeper walk with the Lord with... No agenda. What could that be like?

The prolific bliss awaits.
