Darnell Miller • Home Court Leader

Hey Everyone! My Name is Darnell Miller and I am super excited to serve as leader of Home Court “THE WAY” in wonderful Wilmington, DE. We always talk about the beginning of our life in Christ or our final destination, but what about the journey in the middle; you know that dash between when we arrive and when we leave? At “THE WAY,” I am passionate about helping people search for and walk on this road less traveled, authentically. We will allow the word to shine a light on our lives, to give us clarity and true direction. This Home Court is for those who are seeking, those who have questions, those who may feel they have lost their way and are looking for a non judging, loving, but truthful environment.

Darnell is an Arts Educator, Singer, Songwriter, and Musician. As an arts educator he has been working to serve children and families through the arts in what we call “stressed communities” areas where the arts aren’t as accessible. He is currently General music and Ensemble teacher at the Kuumba Academy Charter School of the Art, and also part of the Music Dept of the Christina Cultural Arts Center in Wilmington. There he teaches Voice, Guitar, Songwriting, and Early Childhood music. He has become a mentor to many young artists.

As a Singer/Songwriter/Musician, Darnell has accomplished a lot through the grace of God. He is a very accomplished worship leader who accepted that calling at a young age, after a chance encounter with Ron Kenoly at his church. Darnell learned a lot about worship under the mentorship of people like Kenoly, Alvin Slaughter and Pastor John P. Kee, all with whom he shared the stage at a young age. He began his musical journey as vocal arranger and songwriter for different producers. In the early 2000’s Darnell was drafted as lead guitarist for Gospel Artist Tye Tribbett and his band Soundcheck. With Tye, he recorded 3 Grammy Nominated Albums (Victory…Live, STANDout, and Fresh). During this era he also collaborated with Singer/Songwriter Eric Roberson which also garnered a grammy nomination, as well as many others

In 2017 Darnell released His Solo EP “Jesus & Jameson” which received great reviews and earned him an award for Delaware’s Artist of the year. He was also placed on the top 50 artists from Delaware of all time. As he continues to produce, write and create music for himself, His focus is moving towards producing, writing for and mentoring others, musically and spiritually.
