The Great Exchange

Greetings family! Joshua here. I hope this message finds you well and thriving. May the peace of God rule your heart today with power and His divine presence. May He be evident in ways to you unknown to you before. Blessings!

There’s so much power in your surrender.

We’ve often associated weakness with secrecy.
But revealing weakness to Jesus is a gateway to true dynamic strength.

Look at what Paul wrote to the Corinthians:

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NLT
[9] Each time he said, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. [10] That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

You see, Paul said, WHEN I am weak, THEN I am strong.

How is this possible?

Because of the exchange…

You will be changed at the rate of your exchange.

You will receive His power at the rate of the exchange of your weakness.

This morning, in prayer, I found so much freedom in sharing with the Lord my weaknesses. As I began to admit to the Lord areas in my life where He’s revealed that I’ve walked in offense, fear of rejection, the fear of false perception from others, or misrepresentation, I sensed His strength empowering me to walk in His power and confidence.

Admittance.
Repentance.
Acceptance.

As I admitted my weaknesses, I repented from those infirmities, I turned my back on them and then, accepted HIS strength in exchange for my weaknesses. It’s not about feeling it’s about faith but I truly began to feel His strength impart into me and I’m grateful for that.

This always comes by faith and often times in seed form.

As a part of acceptance and repentance, we need to water the seed we received with obedience and thanksgiving.

Within the kingdom of God, obedience and thanksgiving are divine components of multiplication. When you walk in obedience and thanksgiving, you begin to multiply and become divinely fruitful even in the midst of drought and famine.

Once again, you will be changed at the rate of your exchange.

Your weakness for His strength.
Your anxiety for His peace.
Your nature for God’s nature.
Your will for His will.
Your thoughts for His thoughts.

Remember:
Admittance.
Repentance.
Acceptance.

2 Corinthians 5:18 ESV
[18] All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

God has reconciled us to Himself!!! You know why that’s powerful?

The first definitions we see for the words ‘reconciled’ and ‘reconciliation’ in the Thayer’s Greek Dictionary are the words, ‘change and exchange.’

There was a glorious exchange that was made possible by Jesus’ life, death, burial and resurrection.
God has given us Him. He gave us His Son, Jesus. For God so loved the world that He gave us Him. We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ! (John 3:16, Romans 8:17)

All of you for all of Him.

Great deal, huh?!

Check this out:
Matthew 10:37 ESV
[37] Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Wow! Intense right? But why would Jesus say, “Whoever loves father, mother, son, or daughter more than me is not worthy of me?”

It’s because the exchange is unequal. The value of a PORTION of your love and allegiance is not worth ALL of Jesus. This is why He says to love God with ALL your heart, soul and mind because that’s how He loves us and loved us first (1 John 4:19). Now He didn’t say those who love family more than Him is not worth TO Him. It’s important to know that He died for all and ALL of us were worth it TO Him (Hebrews 10:10). But those who give HALF of themselves are not worthy of ALL of Him. Once again, the exchange is unequal.

It’s not His will that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but if we don’t receive His sacrifice for our sin, we can’t take part in the great exchange.

This is not about trying to make it on your own. Exchange your trying to be perfect for His perfection by faith.

Matthew 5:48 ESV
[48] You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Hallelujah!

Once we call Him Lord… God is responsible for you. Trust His process IN you and the OUTcome will be glorious.

Philippians 1:6 MSB
I possess an inward certainty about you, confident that he who is the initiator of the good work within you is also the one who executes its completeness as mirrored in Jesus Christ, who is the light of day. He is the fullness of time.

God will finish what He started in you! Surrender. Even if you have to ask for the strength to surrender, ask. I know I have before and He’s been faithful. Don’t complicate it. Receive.

Even if you feel like you only have little to give, give it all. The exchange is worth it. The lady who gave less in dollar value received more from God than those who gave a higher dollar value because of the posture of her heart. Don’t compartmentalize your compliance. Find freedom and enjoyment in admitting and repenting from your weaknesses to the Lord. Find His covering by exposing yourself to Him. You don't need resurrection power for something that's not dead. There's freedom in dying to self. Don't do it from a place of hopelessness. Expect to receive. It's already available. Accept your identity and oneness in Him and conquer with ease and glory, in Christ.

It’s not about performance but about your posture in heart. When your heart is surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus, righteous performance will become a byproduct of His grace and perfection.

Remember:
Admittance.
Repentance.
Acceptance.

The Lord is responsible for you. Receive Him in Jesus’ name.

Love you family! I pray this blessed you. Glory to God alone. Grace, grace to you!
